Win The Window

Win The Window was a fantastic competition run by Dunfermline Delivers and Kingdom FM.

Joanna McDaid of Glenrothes won the ‘Win a Window’ competition after guessing 14p away from the cost of an entire window contents set up by Kingdom FM and Dunfermline Delivers in the Kingsgate Shopping Centre in Dunfermline.

Inputting the closest guess Joanna scooped all the prizes which include hair treatments, food hampers, home entertainment equipment, kids toys, musical instruments, men and ladies fashion and accessories. The final total of the window came to £6883.70.

Thrilled with her win, Joanna said: “I didn’t believe it was true. I was in the shower singing along to Kingdom FM and when I came out I had three missed called telling me I had won. A few close family members have already allocated themselves gifts as there was just so much. I am delighted.”

Over 30 local businesses participated in the project which welcomed 5859 entries between 11th September and 12th October.

Joanna, who works for the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA) in Fife collected her prizes from Dunfermline Delivers Chief Executive Maggie Mitchell and Kingdom FM presenter, Ali McLaren along with son, Jack 13 and daughter Shannen, 14.

Commenting on the winners announcement, Maggie Mitchell, Chief Executive of Dunfermline Delivers said: “Dunfermline’s shops and restaurants really got behind the competition and it was great to see such buzz and interest in the city centre - Joanna even travelled all the way from Glenrothes to participate.We hope she enjoys each and every one of her prizes.”

Kingdom FM’s station director, Blair Crofts added: “For fifteen years Kingdom FM has been at the heart of the Fife community and we were delighted to have the opportunity to work so closely with Dunfermline Delivers and local retailers. The response to the promotion was fantastic, especially from the business community who supported the campaign from start to finish.”
